Scope
This policy applies to:

- All electrical and electronic equipment owned, leased, or used by Cloud Pursuit UK Ltd
- Equipment deployed at client sites, data centres, offices, or remote working locations

Definition of WEEE

- Has reached end-of-life, become obsolete, damaged, or surplus to operational requirements
Examples include:
- Servers, network devices, firewalls, switches
- Laptops, desktops, monitors
- Storage devices (includes Hard Drives, Solid State Drives)
- Power supplies, cables, and peripherals
Responsibilities
Cloud Pursuit UK Ltd
Cloud Pursuit UK Ltd will:
- Ensure WEEE is identified, segregated, and handled appropriately
- Use authorised and licensed WEEE disposal and recycling partners
- Maintain records of disposal and recycling where required
- Ensure secure handling of data-bearing equipment prior to disposal
Employees and Contractors
Employees and contractors must:
- Not dispose of electrical equipment via general waste
- Follow internal processes for decommissioning and disposal
- Report damaged, obsolete, or surplus equipment to management
- Ensure equipment is returned for secure disposal when leaving the organisation
Disposal and Recycling Approach
Cloud Pursuit UK Ltd follows the waste hierarchy, prioritising:
- Reuse – where equipment remains fit for purpose
- Refurbishment – where practical and secure
- Recycling – via authorised WEEE recyclers
- Disposal – only where no other option is viable
All WEEE disposal is carried out through:
- Licensed waste carriers
- Approved recycling and treatment facilities
- Partners who comply with environmental and data protection standards
Data Security Considerations
Where WEEE contains data-bearing components:
- Data is securely erased or destroyed prior to disposal
- Storage media is handled in line with Cloud Pursuit’s Information Security policies
- Certificates of destruction or erasure are obtained where appropriate
This ensures protection of:

Supplier and Partner Management
Cloud Pursuit UK Ltd works only with suppliers and partners who:
